Festival in the Park, INC was established in conjunction with the City of Danville Parks and Recreation Department in 1973. Over the past year's Festival in the Park has seen traditions continue such as food vendors, crafts, live music, performing arts, children’s activities and rides. It has also seen things come and go from running events, pigs in the park, car shows, jumping dock dogs and more. Every year the festival is held the weekend after Mother’s Day and continues to be a staple as Danville’s longest running festival and only three-day festival.
